SnugDawg started with our first dog, Ollie — and a problem we couldn’t ignore.

Like many dog owners, we wanted walks to be something both dog and owner could enjoy — comfortable, safe, and stress-free. But like many young and energetic dogs, Ollie had other ideas.

His excitement often turned simple walks into a challenge, leading us on a journey to find gear that offered the right balance of comfort, security, and reliability.

Why We Started:

From the beginning, we wanted Ollie to enjoy walks comfortably and safely, without us constantly correcting, pulling, or relying on harsh gear just to stay in control.

But Ollie was a puller. Not just occasionally — he zig-zagged, switch directions suddenly, and got overly excited the moment he stepped outside. Like many dog owners, we tried almost everything to manage it while still keeping him comfortable.

We tried flat collars, harnesses, and slip leads. Some slipped off too easily. Some created too much pressure around the neck. Others reduced control and made walks feel frustrating for both dog and owners.

Nothing gave us the balance we were looking for — secure control without discomfort, and comfort without compromise.

So we decided to create our own solution.

What started as a simple idea for Ollie became the foundation of SnugDawg: thoughtfully designed gear focused on security, reliability, comfort, and everyday functionality for real walks with real dogs.
